Myriam Zini is a French, Moroccan-born visual artist based in Montevideo – Uruguay since 2016, where she is part of the FAC/Fundación de Arte Contemporáneo Collective. She graduated in Visual Arts in Brazil, where she lived for 10 years. The starting point of her work is to generate reflection on the images produced by mass culture, using the newspaper as the main raw-material. Her intensely chromatic uneven paintings are inspired by real life and often extreme situations of human experience. She works also with drawings, sculptures, and installations. Zini's work has been exhibited in Brazil, Uruguay and USA.
